CAIRO, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari arrived here on Saturday to participate a meeting of Iraq's neighbors due on Tuesday, Egypt's official news agency MENA reported.

The Arab League (AL) decided in late November to host a foreign-ministerial meeting of Iraq's neighboring countries at the AL headquarters on Dec. 5 to clarify Arab solidarity with Iraq and rejection of all forms of violence or sectarian sedition.

Zebari, who flew to Egypt from a visit in Jordan, will also meet with Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit on Sunday to discuss the latest developments in Iraq, said MENA.

It added that the two top diplomats would also discuss the ways to reduce bloody conflicts and violence in Iraq.

However, despite Zebari's peace effort in Middle East, deadly triple car bombings hit a commercial area in central Baghdad on Saturday afternoon, killing 51 and wounding 90 others.

The bombings came just 10 days after four car bombs rocked Baghdad's Shiite slum of Sadr City, where had more than 200fatalities and 250-odd injuries, becoming the deadliest attack in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion in 2003.
