    DOHA, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- Sufficient pre-match preparations gifted China's teenage paddler Guo Yue a semifinal victory against Singapore's ace player Li Jia Wei in women's singles of the Doha Asian Games on Wednesday.

    "I just kept cool and played my game despite the loss in the first set," said the 18-year-old after scoring the win 11-7, 6-11,12-10, 11-5, 11-7.

    Minutes before Guo opened her match against the Olympic semifinalist Li, Guo's teammate Wang Nan, the triple winner of Olympics, world championships and World Cup, had been ruled out ofthe title encounter by losing 6-11, 11-8, 11-4, 2-11, 7-11, 11-7, 11-6 to Tie Yana from Hong Kong, China.

    "Wang's defeat gave me a warn," said the world team championships winner.

    Guo will pair up with another Asiad debutant Li Xiaoxia to vie for another title apart from the team gold in Wednesday evening's women's doubles final, after Wang Nan/Chen Qing lost 4-2 to Hong Kong's Tie Yana/Zhang Rui in the semis.

    "I think it's better for me to keep in mean and to strive for scores one after another," she added.

    "Now, I'm physically fit," said Guo, who plays three matches in a day here at the day seven competitions.
