DOHA, Dec. 7, (Xinhua) -- Little-known boxer Yang Bo of China slashed 2005 world champion Lee Ok Sung of South Korea 41-21 to storm into the flyweight semifinals on Thursday in Doha Asiad.

Yang has at least got a bronze medal in boxing tournament of 15th Doha Asian Game and will compete for a final berth against Filipino Violito Payla on Sunday.

Yang told Xinhua that the Chinese team had made a complete analysis on his opponent. "He might be surprised on the ring when I was actively attacking him and getting closer to score by my jabs," said the 23-year-old.

Lee, 25, had a nightmare as Yang established his dominance to lead the first round 12-7. Yang's ferocious right and left combination made him ahead 10-3 in the second round having 12-point margin.

The world champion lost his confidences and fighting spirit completely in the fourth bout with a 4-12 loss after a 7-7 tie in the third. After the fight, the South Korean admitted that his failure was due to his laziness. "I didn't train hard," he said, vowing that he would train more in the future to do his best for the next games.

Thai icon, Olympic champion Manus Boonjumnong survived a fierce fight on Thursday with a 14-10 win over his competing opponent Morteza Sepahvandi of Iran.

Though complaining that his opponent fouled him a lot and the floor was very slippery, Boonjumnong felt satisfied with his performance.
