GAZA, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- Israeli forces wounded two Palestinians in Gaza Strip on Sunday morning despite ceasefire, sources from hospital said.

Israeli soldiers opened gunfire near the borders in northern and eastern Gaza Strip, wounding two farmers, according to security sources and witnesses.

The sources from hospital also confirmed that two men in their 20s arrived at the hospital with moderate wounds.

The shooting came as a fragile Israeli-Palestinian ceasefire in Gaza entered its third week.

Earlier, five more Palestinians have been wounded in similar incidents in northern Gaza Strip since the truce taken into effect. According to the ceasefire deal, Israel has to stop all forms of military operation in Gaza Strip while the Palestinian militants halt, in return, firing homemade rockets against southern Israel.

Some Palestinian militant groups have violated the ceasefire and launched rockets into Israel in response to what they call the continuing Israeli aggression in West Bank.

Palestinians have demanded that the ceasefire should be extended to West Bank, which have been rejected by Israel.
