BEIJING, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- An exhibition on the Long March of China's Red Army in the mid-1930s concluded here Sunday after receiving over two million visitors from home and abroad.

The exhibition, in memory of the Long March of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army led by the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 1934-36, came to a successful ending after opening to public for 56 days.

It was originally planned to run from October 16 to November 24 but later extended to December 10.

For nearly two months, visitors have been queuing to enter the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution in central Beijing, while eight hotlines were opened to take calls.

Over 80,000 notes have been left in visitors' books.

The exhibition will move on to other cities and be open to the public till January next year.
