LOS ANGELES, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) -- A student was shot
Wednesday morning at a high school in Tacoma of Washington State in the
northwest of the United States and died later on the way to hospital, the FoxTV
reported.
The attacker was a young person who brought a gun to the school, police were quoted as saying.
The motive behind the attack remained unknown.
Police were searching for the attacker and another
person involved in the attack, said the report.
The victim was a male student, district spokeswoman
Patty Holmgren was quoted as saying.
Police responded to the school shortly after the 7:30
a.m. shooting and evacuated students while searching the building, police
spokesman Mark Fulghum was quoted as saying.
Classes were canceled for the rest of the day at the Foss High School.
