BEIJING, Jan. 7 -- 25 film projects from 13 Asian countries are expected to receive investment from world buyers at the 2007 Hong Kong Asia Film (HAF) Financing Forum.

Thirteen Chinese movies are on the list of film projects, including Xu Jinglei's "Days in Forbidden City," Hong Kong director Pang Ho Cheng's "Now Showing" and Zhang Yuan's "One Night in Beijing."

The forum will be held from March 20 to 22 in Hong Kong.

The chief director of the Hong Kong Asia Film Financing Forum, Jacob Wong said that the genres represented by the nominees are quite diverse. Commercial movies and art house films each take up half the list.

He said the forum works to arrange movie producers to meet with investors in order to introduce investment into film making.

According to the organization, nearly 600 investors, film producers, and bankers from all over the world will attend the forum.

Chinese director Zhang Yang's latest film "Fallen Leaves Return to Root," which received investment at last year's Hong Kong Asia Film Financing Forum, will soon open in cinemas this month.
