BEIJING, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- Herve Lamizana led Shandong
Flaming Bulls to a 12-2 run down the stretch to beat Beijing Ducks 98-95
Wednesday in a 20th round match of the Chinese Basketball Association league
(CBA).
Trailing 82-71 at the start of the fourth quarter,
Shandong pitched out the pair of foreign players, Lamizana and Mack Tuck, to
usurp the lead on 96-93 with less than a minute to go.
Point guard Zhang Yunsong closed it on 96-95 with a
layup with 22 seconds left but Lou Yandong buried both free-throws to secure the
win.
Lamizana had 22 points and 14 rebounds while Tuck,
who was warned on Wednesday for a brawl with Changchun audience last round on
Sunday, added 13 points and seven rebounds for Shandong.
Chen Lei led Beijing with 24 points as he shot
6-out-of-8 on 3-pointers.
In other matches, Guangdong Hongyuan defeated Shanghai Sharks 98-65, Zhejiang Chyclones beat Dongguan New Century 117-112, Zhejiang Guangsha defeated Yunnan Honghe 110-88, Bayi Fubang beat Fujian SBS 123-100, Xinjiang Guanghui defeated Liaoning Hunters 103-97, Jilin Northeast Tigers bbeat Shannxi Hansi 113-104 while Jiangsu Dragons beat Shanxi Zhongyu 119-96.
