BEIJING, Feb. 2 -- With the approach of the Spring Festival, the Chinese film market has turned into a kind of battleground for audiences.

Five big foreign films - "Casino Royale," "Flyboys," "Night at the Museum," "The Devil Wears Prada" and "Click" - will all open in Chinese cinemas in February.

Starring Daniel Craig and Eva Green, "Casino Royale," the latest James Bond film, premiered in Beijing on January 30th. Director Martin Campbell and two lead actors came to China to promote the new 007 flick. And, it seems, the film's high-profile promotion campaign has paid off, with the film brining in a record 20 million yuan in box office takings in just three days across China.

The WWI film "Flyboys" tells about the adventures of the Lafayette Escadrille, young Americans who volunteered for the French military before the U.S. entered World War I to become the country's first fighter pilots. It will hit screens across China February 9th.

North American box office winner "Night at the Museum" is scheduled to screen on Valentine's Day, the same day as local star Andy Lau's anti-drug movie "Protege."

And, this year's Oscar-nominated film "The Devil Wears Prada" and comedic drama "Click" are also coming soon to China, opening on February 27th and 28th respectively.

Lead actress for the film "The Devil Wears Prada,: Meryl Streep, has received a nomination for the Best Actress Award at the upcoming 29th Academy Awards. The film, with a 35 million US dollar budget, has already grabbed 320 million US dollars across the world.
