LONDON, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- Portugal claimed a 2-0 win
over Brazil in their international friendly on Tuesday at Arsenal's Emirates
Stadium.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was an interested
spectator at a packed Emirates and he saw Blues defender Ricardo Carvalho add to
an earlier goal from Simao Sabrosa as Portugal bagged a fine win.
The contest was full of attacking endeavor throughout
and Brazil defender Lucio hit the bar shortly before the interval.
Portugal took advantage of the stroke of fortune as
Simao latched onto a fine cross from Ricardo Quaresma to ram his side in front
on 82 minutes.
Carvalho sealed the win when turning home a cross in
the last minute to hand Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari victory over his home
nation.
Jon Dahl Tomasson was on target twice as Denmark beat
Australia 3-1 at Loftus Road. Daniel Jensen also worked his way onto the score
sheet, while Australia's consolation came from Blackburn's Brett Emerton.
Lee Chun-soo scored the only goal of the game as
South Korea beat Greece 1-0 at Crave Cottage.
Nottingham Forest striker Junior Agogo hit the target
for Ghanain their 4-1 win over Nigeria.
Sulley Muntari and Asamoah Frimpong were on target
and Laryea Kingston netted the first, while Nigeria's consolation came through
Taye Taiwo.
Jon Obi Mikel started for Nigeria despite Chelsea
insisting he was not fit to play.
Goals from Yiasoumis Yiasoumi and Ioannis Okkas
handed Cyprus a 2-1 win over Hungary in Limassol.
Tamas Priskin netted a late consolation for the
visitors. Bulgaria grabbed a 2-0 win over Latvia in Larnaca. An own goal on 14
minutes from Pavels Surnins set Bulgaria on their way and Hristo Iovov's effort
sealed the victory.
Real Madrid midfielder Mahamadou Diarra was on target as Mali beat Lithuania 3-1 in a friendly in Paris.
