TEHRAN, May 2 (Xinhua) -- Iran's former nuclear negotiator Hossein Mousavian has been arrested "for security reasons," the official IRNA news agency reported on Wednesday.
Mousavian was arrested at his house in Tehran on Monday, IRNA quoted an unidentified "informed source" as saying.
Mousavian was one of Iran's nuclear negotiators who served under former president Mohammad Khatami.
Meanwhile, the semi-official Fars news agency quoted unidentified sources as saying that Mousavian was arrested for his "economic activities" and he was likely to be released on bail later on Wednesday.
