Special report: Tension escalates in Iraq
BAGHDAD, May 5 (Xinhua) -- At least one policeman was killed and more than five others wounded when a suicide car bomb struck a police station in western Baghdad on Saturday, an Interior Ministry source said.
"A suicide bomber drove an explosive-laden car into a police station in Yarmouk district and blew it up at about 12:30 p.m. (0830 GMT)," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The attack caused damages in the police station building, along with killing at least a policeman and wounding five others, the source said, citing first police report.
