BEIJING, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- China's consumer price index (CPI) rose 5.6 percent in July compared with the same period of last year, the National Bureau of Statistics said on Monday.

    The CPI increased 4.4 percent in June and 3.2 percent year on year in the first half of this year.
