BUENOS AIRES, May 2 (Xinhua) -- Argentine coach
Carlos Bianchi on Friday rejected a million-U.S.-dollar offer to coach America
soccer club (Mexico), and said he will stay in Buenos Aires because he has
"other priorities."
Bianchi admitted he "always" wants "to work" although
"I am currently very calm here and I will stay in Buenos Aires".
America's former coach Ruben Romano resigned after
losing 2-4 against Flamengo of Brazil in Copa Libertadores and America soccer
club's heads offered Bianchi two million dollars annually to head the Mexican
team.
Bianchi, 59, has won many soccer titles with
Argentine soccer teams, including Velez Sarsfield and Boca Juniors.
Meanwhile, Bianchi stated on Friday during the press
conference at a hotel in Buenos Aires that the best soccer player in the world
currently is Portuguese native Cristiano Ronaldo, playing for Manchester United
of England.
Bianchi also said that Boca "continues to be the
favorite" to win Copa Libertadores, although Brazil's Sao Paulo club and
Argentine soccer clubs River Plate and San Lorenzo also have winning chances.
