Beijing Olympic torch relay to start at noon

    SHENZHEN, China, May 8 (Xinhua) -- The Beijing Olympic torch relay in the south Chinese city of Shenzhen, previously scheduled to start Thursday morning, will kick off at noon, according to relay organizers.

    Climbers carrying the Olympic flame are expected to reach the top of Mt. Qomolangma at around 10 a.m. (0200 GMT).
