CAIRO, May 10 (Xinhua) -- The Cairo-based Arab League
(AL) Saturday said it will hold an emergency meeting of foreign ministers on
Sunday to discuss the political crisis in Lebanon.
An AL statement said the AL council at the
ministerial level will hold an emergency session on Sunday to discuss the
Lebanese crisis and how to deal with it.

On Friday, Egypt and Saudi Arabia called on AL to
hold such a meeting.
Earlier on Saturday, AL Secretary General Amr Moussa
called on Arab countries to work together to help settle the Lebanese crisis.
He also highlighted the importance of a proposed Arab
foreign ministers meeting to discuss the situation in Lebanon, where fierce
clashes between the opposition and ruling coalition left at least 18 people dead
and 40 others injured.
