BERLIN, May 10 (Xinhua) -- Russian tennis player Dinara Safina beat Belarus
player Victoria Azarenka on Saturday in Berlin with 6-4 and 6-1 to breeze into
the final of German Open.
Safina is to compete for the top title of German Open on Sunday with the
winner between her country fellow Elena Dementieva and defending champion Ana
Ivanovic from Serbia.
A day earlier, Safina beat U.S. favorite Serena Williams, fifth seed of the
tournament, with 6-2, 1-6 and 6-7 (5).
On Thursday, Safina sent home world number one Justine Henin from Belgium
7-5, 3-6, 1-6.
