Special report: Strong Earthquake Jolts SW China　

    BEIJING, May 13 (Xinhua) -- The General Logistics Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) has mobilized 11 military planes to send disaster relief personnel to the earthquake-stricken areas in southwest China's Sichuan Province.

    The first plane bound for Sichuan's capital city Chengdu took off from Luoyang, capital city of central China's Henan Province, at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday.

    Altogether 30 flights were scheduled on Tuesday and they were expected to forward 5,000 people to Sichuan, according to the department.
