YICHANG, Central China, June 1 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong actress and singer Karen Mok said on Sunday that the Olympic torch is the best gift for her birthday, which falls on Monday.

Mok ran the day's Olympic torch relay on the Three Gorges Dam in central China's Hubei province. Mok was the day's No. 159 torchbearer.

"Tomorrow is my birthday. The Olympic torch is the most wonderful gift I've received," Mok said.

Mok said it is the greatest honor in her life to pass on the Olympic torch.

"I hope people all over the world will be safe, happy and sincerely hope Beijing Olympic Games will be the most splendid one!" she added.

At the top of the gigantic Three Gorges Dam, the largest of its kind in the world, Karen ran and waved to the spectators.

"It's more exciting than performing in concerts!" she said with a big smile.

"I wish everyone can share this Olympic honor with me and support Beijing Olympic Games!" she said.

The Olympic torch relay will next arrive in Jingzhou city, the last leg of the relay in Hubei province.
