ISLAMABAD, June 2 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani Foreign
Secretary Salman Bashir said on Monday that the blast outside Danish embassy in
Islamabad has damaged the country's image.
The suicide car bombing at about 1:00 p.m. local time
killed at least eight people, including two Pakistani policemen at the embassy,
and wounded nearly 30 others.
Bashir visited the Danish embassy to express
sympathies with the charge'd affairs over the deadly blast.
"The blast has damaged image of our country," Bashir
told reporters outside the embassy building.
"It is the most evil most vicious attack. We realize
and also convey sentiments of the people of Pakistan and Pakistani nation feel
very ashamed today on the incident," he said.
The Pakistani government has formed a joint
investigation team to probe the car bomb explosion.
Interior Advisor Rehman Malik has asked the joint
team to come up with an initial investigation report within 24 hours. ¡¡
