LONDON, June 3 (Xinhua) -- The London stock market had slipped back into negative territory by Tuesday's midday, despite a tentative recovery in banking shares.
Royal Bank of Scotland rose 4.2 percent and Lloyds TSB added 1.9 percent as banks regained some ground after Monday's falls.
By midday, the benchmark FTSE 100 index was down 7 points, or 0.12 percent, at 6,000.6.
