AMMAN, June 3 (Xinhua) -- Jordan will provide food, medical and humanitarian supplies Wednesday to the West Bank and Gaza Strip in the Palestinian territories, Jordan's official news agency Petra reported Tuesday.
Muhammad Majed Alaitan, secretary general of the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization, said that a total of 200 tons of foodstuffs and other humanitarian aid was loaded in 15 trucks, with seven trucks to the Gaza Strip and eight others to the West Bank.
The trucks are expected to cross the King Hussein Bridge, a border crossing between Jordan and the West Bank, Alaitan added.
The aid, he said, comes in the context of a comprehensive program to provide assistance to the Palestinians.
