Japanese PM to attend Olympics opening ceremony

    TOKYO, July 3 (Xinhua) -- Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda has decided to attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games, Kyodo News reported Thursday.

    Fukuda will take a 19-seat airplane of Japan's Air Self-Defense Force and arrive in Beijing on August 8, said the report, citing government sources.
