First weekend charter flight from Taiwan arrives in Shanghai

    SHANGHAI, July 4 (Xinhua) -- The first weekend charter flight from Taiwan arrived in east China's Shanghai municipality on Friday morning.

    Conducted by China Airlines, the plane touched down at 10:20 a.m. at the Pudong airport.

    Friday marks a start of weekend charter flights across the Taiwan Strait. Planes carrying about 760 tourists from five cities of the mainland, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xiamen and Nanjing, will land or have landed in Taiwan.
