    BEIJING, July 4 -- The Chinese Central Television (CCTV) tower in Beijing was illuminated Thursday night after a light renovation project ahead of the Olympics.

    The newly-installed lights on and around the TV tower boast different colors and patterns, making the tower a huge "lantern in the sky".

    The new TV tower will be lit during the Olympics and national holidays such as the National Day, the Spring Festival and the Mid-Autumn Day.
