Zambian Olympics official: China's preparation for Olympics "world-class"

    LUSAKA, August 1 (Xinhua) -- China's preparation for the forthcoming Olympic Games in Beijing is excellent and world-class, A senior Zambian Olympic official said on Friday.

    "I have been to China several times, and I have to say that what my Chinese colleagues have done is excellent and world-class," said Mirrian Moyo, president of National Olympics Committee of Zambia.

    "I think the Beijing Olympics is to be a wonderful and successful games,"she said.

    Zambia is to send eight athletes to Beijing, the largest team it has ever sent for Olympic Games.

    The eight Zambian sportspersons are to participate in boxing, swimming, badminton and track and field competitions.

    Moyo said the Zambian delegation is looking forward to the opening ceremony slated for August 8.

    She said she believes that China will present the world an excellent and impressive opening ceremony.
