Myanmar-Chinese business leader wishes Beijing Olympics great success

    YANGON, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- A Myanmar-Chinese business leader told Xinhua on Sunday that he wishes the upcoming 2008 Beijing Olympic Games a great success and that the ethnic Chinese in Myanmar all believe the Games will be the most splendid in the Olympic history.

    Lai Sonesheng, chairman of the Myanmar-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) in Yangon, said China hosting the Olympics realizes the dream of a century for all Chinese. He said that all people who love peace and uphold justice across the world should support the the Olympic spirit and Beijing Olympic Games.

    He wished the six Myanmar athletes participating in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games top performance and wished Chinese athletes even more gold medals.

    Myanmar will send a 20-member delegation, including six athletes to compete in track and field, swimming, archery, rowing and canoeing/kayak in the Beijing Olympic Games scheduled for Aug. 8-24.
