Premier Wen meets foreign guests to Beijing Olympic Games

    BEIJING, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met here Friday with some of the international honored guests who were here to attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games slated for Friday evening.

    Wen said in his meeting with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Vladimirovic Putin that he will closely cooperate with Putin to promote China-Russia ties. Full story

Chinese premier meets int'l guests to Beijing Olympics

    BEIJING, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao Friday morning met with some of the international honored guests who were here to attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games slated for Friday evening.

    In a meeting with Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, Wen expressed his welcome to Rudd and wished Australian athletes would perform well at the Games. Full story
