BEIJING, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao said here on Saturday that he is confident that Beijing and China will deliver a high-standard Paralympic Games with distinctive features.
"We have set the goal of 'two Games with equal splendor' and, guided by the concept of 'transcendence, integration and equality,' made the utmost effort in the preparation for the Games," said Hu at a welcoming luncheon of the Beijing Paralympic Games. Full story

BEIJING, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao and his wife Liu Yongqing greeted foreign dignitaries and their spouses at the Great Hall of the People in central Beijing on Saturday, ahead of a welcoming luncheon of the Beijing Paralympic Games.
